The Main CU is the encompassing fellowship at Makerere University Kampala. We oversee all the other fellowships in halls, faculties and hostels. We meet as a fellowship every Friday and Sunday between 8pm and 10pm. We have prayer meetings and all this is recorded in the events page.

This site is intended to communicate to you anything concerning the fellowship and to hear from you. Feel free to send any suggestions, prayer requests, testimonies and let the name of the LORD Jesus Christ be glorified. Come again for any new developments. GOD BLESS YOU.

Setup of the Main CU

Currently the CU stretches from the small care groups to fellowships in the halls, hostels, classes, faculties/institutions and the main (general) meetings/fellowships. These fellowships run weekly, see weekly activities.

There are also mission groups that strategize to hold missions to the different parts of the country oand even abroad, see Missions.

The total number of members is estimated to be over 2000. The CU does not have any permanent register for it’s members since they keep varying each academic year.

 

Objectives

1.      Promote growth to maturity in the Christian faith and life among the members of the union.

2.      Help the members in their effort to present Jesus Christ to others with a view of personal commitment to Him.

3.      Promote unity and mature Christian interaction between members from different churches/denominations, which ascribe to the Christian union doctrinal basis of faith.

4.      Encourage practical Christian living as recommended by the Holy Bible, e.g. sharing, caring, loving, etc.

These objectives can be summarized in to three: Catch the fish, feed the sheep and care for one another.
